The City palace of jaipur was constructed by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. The palace includes the famous 'Chandra Mahal' and 'Mubarak Mahal' and other buildings which form a part of the Palace Complex.The City Palace complex is spread over a large area occupying one seventh of the old city of Jaipur.
Jaipur is the present-day capital of the state of Rajasthan, and until 1949 the City Palace was the ceremonial and administrative seat of the Maharaja of Jaipur. Jaipur is the first planed city of medieval India. The city is divided into nine blocks and the royal palace is situated at the center of the city. The capital was shifted from Amer to Jaipur in the 1700s.

How To Reach City Palace

The City Palace is located in the middle of the old city wall of Jaipur so you can get an ample of transport to reach there. You can either take a cab for local site-seeing or take taxi / rickshaws if you want to experience the great Indian way of travel.

Morning 9.30 to Evening 5.
It takes almost 2 hours to visit city palace.
